Project Time Calculator

Estimate how long your cross stitch project will take based on your stitching speed and routine.

How it works

Total hours = stitches ÷ stitches per hour. Calendar time then divides by your hours per day and days per week. Average stitchers manage 100–150 stitches/hour on 14-count Aida — adjust to match your own pace.

Example: a 15,000 stitch chart at 120 stitches/hour is about 125 hours total. Stitching 1 hour a day, 5 days a week, that's roughly 25 weeks — finishing in about 6 months.

Use this to plan gift deadlines, decide whether to commit to a large sampler, or compare two charts by realistic time-to-finish.
