Convert stitch counts into finished dimensions, compare fabric counts, and calculate a recommended fabric cut size with margins.
How it works
Finished size is calculated as stitches ÷ fabric count = inches, then converted to centimetres (× 2.54). Margins are added to both sides for the recommended fabric cut.
Example: a 200 × 250 stitch chart works out to 14.3" × 17.9" (36.3 × 45.4 cm) on 14-count Aida, 12.5" × 15.6" on 16-count, or 7.1" × 8.9" on 28-count linen worked over 2 threads. Switching fabric count is the fastest way to resize a chart without re-charting.
Use this to compare fabric options before starting, pick a frame size, or check that a gifted chart will fit a hoop you already own.
